Alex Gabriels is renowned for his ceramic work combining clean form and earthy tactility. The result is a series of five lamps called NASH, MAIA, RANA, NOVA, ROM and FOU, which evoke the treasures of modernist architecture. The lamps subtly allow light to pass through while projecting a soft, grazing light onto the rough surface of chamotte clay, highlighting the superb texture of the material.
